This feature has already been rolled out in countries like Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Columbia, Ecuador, Guyana, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Singapore, Suriname, United States, Vietnam, Uruguay, and Thailand, and is already enjoying massive usage.

As the name suggests, the Facebook dating feature is free and so also is the dating app. Those who want to use the platform, can log in for free and create a profile without paying a dime. This is a much-celebrated gesture by users all thanks to Facebook.

This move of offering the Facebook dating feature for free has really set the Facebook dating site apart from the rest, owing to the fact that most dating sites charge a fee before you can actually use their dating site.

Those who are fortunate enough to have the feature rolled out to their country, have already started engaging on the platform to meet up and build a meaningful relationship with their potential soul mate.

Does Facebook Dating Site Have an App?

I keep seeing this question pop up in online searches recently, and I will be giving an answer to this question in this article. There is no Facebook dating app. Let me explain. Facebook has made it such that users can use the dating feature from their Facebook official app.

What this means is that, if you have a Facebook account already and the dating feature is on, in your area, you can access the platform from your Facebook page through the official Facebook app. So what people refer to as the dating app, is actually one and the same thing as the official app.

Thus, what you need to access and set up a dating profile, is an upgraded official Facebook app. Now note I said ‘upgraded’, this is because if your app is not upgraded to the latest version, you will not be able to access the dating feature from your page.

Note however, that even though you are accessing and creating your profile on the dating site with the same official app you use for your page, both profiles are very separate from each other. Both are kept private from each other.

How to Download Free Facebook Dating App – Facebook Official App

Now, make no mistake, because we are talking about the normal Facebook app that you use in operating your Facebook page here. We have to make do with the Facebook official app for now, until such a time when Facebook will decide to launch a separate app for the dating site. So let’s get started:

Click open your app store.
Search for the Facebook app
Click on Update
After the app has been updated, click on the Open option.
Tick on the menu icon from the top of the Facebook platform for Android devices or on the bottom of the Facebook app for iOS devices.
Then you will see Dating or a Love icon displayed from the menu option, if you have the feature in your area.

If before now, you have not signed up of Facebook, let me show you how to sign up on the mobile app:

Sign Up on Mobile App

Download the Facebook mobile app from your app store. From Google Play Store for Android users or from the App Store for iOS users.
After the app has been installed, open the app
Click on Sign Up
Enter your first name, last name, sex, date of birth, location, password, your mobile phone number or email address
Confirm your account, using the code sent either to your phone number or email address you provided.
Your profile will be created.
You can then add other additional Settings from the profile page.

How to Access and Set Up a Dating Set Up a Profile

To set up a profile:

Tap open Facebook application
Click on the menu icon from the top of the Facebook platform for Android devices or the bottom of the Facebook app for iOS devices.
Tap on the Dating or Love icon from the menu option
Log in using your profile name and your password
Tick on the menu icon from the top of the Facebook app.
Thereafter, tick on Dating or the Love icon from the menu options.
You will be asked to create your dating profile, which is quite separate from your normal Facebook profile.
Enter the information needed.
You will be prompted to add a minimum of about 9 photos. Add questions that other users can answer.
There, your Facebook Dating profile is created.
