Facebook Reportedly Working on A Version of Instagram For Kids Under 13 – Facebook is working for a safer Instagram space for kids under 13. Instagram for kids is currently, under development according to a recent rumor. The new space will target the under 13s who are not allowed to access the main Instagram according to the Facebook terms and conditions.
The project will be headed by recruit pavni diwanji who is not new to this department, diwanji was the head of the google YouTube kids service making her fit for the role.
The Vice President of Instagram product Vishal shah posted to the company’s internal message board: “I’m delighted to announce that going forward, we have recognized youth work as a priority for Instagram and have added it to our H1priority list” we will be building a new pillar within the community product group to focus on;
- Stimulating our integrity and privacy work to ensure the safest experience for teens
- Creating a version of Instagram that gives room for those under age 13 to utilize Instagram for the first time.
This was made known after the company pledge to do more, in protecting young users who have been bullied or abused on Instagram.
