Snapchat Easter Egg Hunt—The social media platform has agreed to return its yearly Easter Egg Hunt this year. Easter is just a few days away, and I believe everyone is preparing for the themed products and parties for the big day. One of our favorite social media platforms, Snapchat, is well prepared to give us something for the season, too.
Every year, the social networking giant offers us an Easter egg hunt known as the Great Snapchat Egg Hunt. Despite staying at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was still really interesting. The question on everyone’s mind now is, would Snapchat do it again this year?
What do you need to know about the Snapchat Easter Egg hunt?
Snapchat’s egg hunt brings all-around fun to the app. The egg hunt is very similar to Pokemon Go, where players go to particular locations to catch Pokemon. In this situation, players use their mobile device’s location services to track down eggs through Snapchat’s Snap Map.
When using your Snap app’s camera, you’ll be able to spot virtual eggs pop up on the map as you move around. For this one, users hunt for eggs in real life to collect as many points as possible. Colored eggs are worth 1 point, while shiny eggs are worth 5 points each.
We are yet to know whether this year’s hunt will be real or virtual. When you’re close to an egg on Snap Map, just click on it to accept it. Still, on your Easter hunt, you can come across “chicks. ” When you click on one, a mini-game opens up, and you stand a chance to win ten extra points.
Will There Be an Easter Egg Hunt?
Snapchat hasn’t made any official announcements about a version of the game. If there’s an announcement, it’s most likely to be closer to the actual Easter holiday. The company released last year’s notice on the first day of the event, so we can assume that any updates will be published around March 31st.
Note: We really expect an Easter egg hunt this year, so you can make every necessary preparation for this, but in case it doesn’t come, you should have a blissful Easter celebration in advance.
