Recently, Wayfair launched two new credit cards with Citi, and retired Comenity Bank, which was the first issuer of the Wayfair card. Launched in partnership with Citi on September 11, 2020, both the Wayfair Mastercard and the new Wayfair credit card are now available for no annual fee.
Both cards offer the choice of earning rewards on spending or receiving no-interest financing for up to 24 months.
According to Larry Lataif, who is head of U.S. consumer financing for Wayfair, in a news release, “With the Wayfair Credit Card and Wayfair Mastercard, we are also able to reward our loyal customers, with more added perks and benefits than ever before”.
He said the company is pleased to partner with Citi Retail Services in a bid to make it even more rewarding for its customers to create a home they love.
Why Should You Apply for the Wayfair Credit Card?
You can apply for the Wayfair credit card if you are considering taking some furniture shopping. Since the card is a store card that can be used at Wayfair, it will offer you, a medium of earning rewards on your purchases or in financing them.
Note, however, that this type of card will only benefit you much if you are a brand loyalist who shops often at Wayfair because of the limited rewards earning and redemption opportunities. Store credit cards, tend to have lower credit limits and high APRs.

For existing cardholders of the Wayfair Credit Card Program, according to Comenity Bank, had through September 10, 2020, to use their account. After which, open accounts were closed. The good news is, that existing cardholders have a full year (through September, 10, 2021), to redeem their remaining rewards.

To apply online, you have to register. To register:

- In the fields provided, enter your card number
- Enter your name as it appears on your card
- Enter your security code
- Provide the last 4 digits of the primary cardholders’ SSN
- Click on the “Verify” link.
- Choose between the Wayfair credit card or the Wayfair Mastercard.
